How to add a line break in any multi-line text field using the ClonePlus for Jira app
This article explains how to add line breaks in any multi-line text field of an issue using the ClonePlus for Jira app.
Instructions
- Log in to Jira as an Administrator.
- Click Cog menu > Issues.
- Click Clone Plus from the sidebar on the left and click Edit in the Clone plus properties tab.
- Enter some text in a multi-line text field as required. Use the '\n' (newline character) to display text on a new line. As an example, the following figure shows how you can use the newline character to set Description:
- Click Save to apply the changes and perform the Bobswift Clone operation.
The multi-line text field now shows text on multiple lines as specified. As per the given example, the Description is set as follows:
