How to create an announcement that is available for anonymous users using Announcer for Confluence app
This article explains how to create an announcement that is visible to all users, including anonymous users, using the Announcer for Confluence app.
Instructions
- Login to your Confluence instance.
- Navigate to Cog menu ( ) > General Configuration
- Click Announcements under the ANNOUNCER FOR CONFLUENCE section on the sidebar to the left.
- When you are creating an announcement for the first time, click Create one now to create a new announcement. If you have any existing announcement(s), click Add another notification.
- In the Announcer editor screen, enter relevant details such as Title, Notification Type, and so on.
- Select Yes under Show for anonymous users option as shown:
- Click Save.
The announcement is now displayed to all users. For example, the announcement created in the previous step is displayed to an anonymous user as shown:
