How to create a new announcement using the Announcer for Confluence app

This article explains step by step instructions on how to create a new announcement by using the Announcer for Confluence app.

Instructions

  1. Log into a Confluence instance.
  2. Navigate to Cog wheel  > Manage apps.
  3. Search and select the Announcer for Confluence app.
  4. Expand the app and click Get started to start using the app.
  5. From the left sidebar, under the ANNOUNCER FOR CONFLUENCE section, select Announcements.
  6. In the Announcer Configuration page, 
    1. When you are creating an announcement for the first time, you see the Create one now button, using which you can create a new announcement.
    2. If you announcement(s) exists already, you see the Add another notification button, using which you can create another announcement.
  7. In Announcement editor, enter the respective details of your choice.
     
    Advanced edit options:
    Click Show advanced options... to see the additional options. For more details, refer to this page.
     
  8. Preview and Save the announcement.

You see the announcement on the confluence page as soon as the targeted audience login to the Confluence instance.
