How to create announcements with HTML color tags using Announcer for Bitbucket Server

This article contains step-by-step instructions to create an announcement with HTML color tags using the Announcer for Bitbucket Server app.

Instructions

  1. Log into your Bitbucket instance as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Cog wheel () > Announcer for Bitbucket Server and click Get started.
  3. Click Announcements under the ANNOUNCER FOR BITBUCKET section from the sidebar on the left. 
  4. Click Create one now to create a new announcement, if you are creating an announcement for the first time.

    Click Add another notification if you have any existing announcement(s).

  5. Enter the basic details for the announcement in the Announcement editor window. Refer to this guide for more details.
  6. Click Show advanced options... to add the required HTML code to the announcement text.
    1. Select HTML from the drop-down list to the left of Contents.
    2. Enter your HTML code, with the required styles and colors, in Contents text box as shown:

    3. Click Preview for a preview of the announcement. If there are no further changes required, click Save.

An announcement is created with the HTML color tags and styles that were specified. The example discussed displays the announcement as:
