This page is about Time to SLA for Jira Cloud. Using Jira On-Prem? Click the On-Prem button above.

Time to SLA offers advanced customization of calendars, allowing you to create an unlimited number of calendars and time intervals. Its flexible structure makes it easy to create separate calendars for teams that work in different time zones.

With Time to SLA, you can:

  • Set as many separate business hours as you need for a workday

  • Define holidays and set them as recurring or non-recurring

  • Share holidays across your other calendars

Create a calendar

  1. Log in to your Jira Cloud account.

  2. Click Apps in the header menu and open the Time to SLA app.

  3. Go to Calendars > Add New Calendar.

  4. Name your calendar and select a Time Zone.

  5. Add your Working Days and Working Hours. You can choose from the pre-set hours, and you can modify them as needed by checking or unchecking the related boxes below each day. You can add Break Times as well. You may also want to add extra break times. To do this, go to the column of the day you want to add a break and make your additions. Check out the example below:

  1. Scroll down to the Holidays section to add holidays. You can add the holiday as a full day or pick your own custom hours. On the specified holidays, SLAs will stop counting.

If you tick the Shared Holiday box, the holiday you’re adding will appear on all calendars, and any changes made here will be reflected in all of them. For example, if you’re adding Bastille Day for a team located in France, you wouldn’t tick this box. For New Year’s Day, you most probably would.

Tick the Recurring box if you want the holiday to repeat within a certain time frame (monthly or yearly). Here is an example:

  1. Click Add holiday. Once you’ve added your holidays, the holidays that apply to the calendar will be displayed like this:

  1. Define the Length of Business Day. Keep in mind that this is an Advanced Setting that you don’t need to use most of the time.

  1. Click Save.
