Periodic Reports

Periodic reports are reports that are issued at regular intervals. They can be presented as project deliverables and help with decision-making. With Time to SLA’s Periodic Reports, you can:

  • Create numerous report subscriptions

  • Receive reports directly in your email inbox on a regular basis

This page shows all of your periodic reports. You can also use it to download your periodic reports.

  1. Report Name – The name you picked, as well as the creation date of the report that will be automatically added, will be displayed here.

  2. Report Type – Shows the type of the report. Please note that the SLA Durations Report is not available for background reports at this time.

  3. Create Date – Displays the time you created the report at.

  4. State – The current state of the report appears here. If you didn’t receive your report on time, the State section can give you clues as to why.

  5. icon – Click to reveal the dropdown menu, which shows Download report and Delete report.

  6. Download report – Click to download your report in XLSX format.

  7. Delete report – Click to delete the report.

How to Create a Periodic Report

You can create and schedule subscriptions on the SLA Reports page. These reports can be regularly sent to selected recipients at a recurring interval of your choosing.

  1. Go to SLA Reports.

  2. Select the Report Type. (Please note that the SLA Durations Report is not available for periodic reporting at this time.)

  3. Select Filter Type to limit the scope of your issues, and then select the SLAs you want to generate the report for. Customize the report by selecting More, Format, and/or adding Columns.

  4. Click the arrow next to Generate to reveal the dropdown menu. Click Schedule period report.

  5. The Subscribe for Report screen will appear. Name your report, and select your Recipients and the Editors.

  6. Click Build Cron expression to pick a time for the report. After you've chosen your preferred time, click OK.

  7. Check the box that says Email this report even if there are no issues found if you wish to be notified in such cases.

  8. Click Save.

Hooray! You have successfully created your subscription. Your report will be listed in Periodic Reports once it has been generated and sent to you via Email.

Tip: You can also create subscriptions for your Background Reports!

Creating a Periodic Report from a Filter Saved Before:

  1. Go to Manage Filters.

  2. Find the filter you want to create a subscription to and click .

  3. Click Manage Subscriptions.

  4. A subscription page for the filter you have chosen will appear. Click Add Subscription.

  5. The Subscribe for Report screen will appear. Name your report, and select your Recipients and the Editors, as described above.

  6. Click Save.

Hooray! You have successfully created a subscription from a filter.

Creating a Subscription Report from the Background Reports Page:

  1. Click Background Reports.

  2. Find the background report you want to create a subscription to and click .

  3. Click Add Subscription.

  4. The Subscribe for Report screen will appear. Name your report, and select your Recipients and the Editors, as described above.

  5. Click Save.
