How to configure an announcement for specific projects using the Announcer for Jira app

This article explains how to create an announcement for specific projects using the Announcer for Jira app.

Instructions

  1. Login as an Administrator in your Jira instance.
  2. Select the Cog menu () > Manage apps.
  3. Select Announcements under the ANNOUNCER FOR JIRA section from the sidebar on the left.
  4. If you are creating an announcement for the first time, click Create one now button to create a new announcement.

    If you have an existing announcement(s), click Add another notification.

  5. In the Announcement editor window, enter the announcement details as required.
  6. To configure additional settings, click Show advanced options.... Refer to this guide for more information.
  7. Select the Filter for a specific project(s) checkbox, and, specify the project(s) as required.

  8. Click Preview, if required, or click Save to create the announcement.

The announcement is now displayed when the specified projects are viewed. As per the previous example, the "Hello Team" announcement is displayed after the "Test" project is viewed as shown:
