This page presents the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the functionality of the Announcer for Jira app.

 What are the active and inactive notifications/announcements?
Active Notifications: If the option: Status in the respective announcement is Enabled, it indicates the announcement is active and users are prompted with notifications when they log into Jira.
Inactive Notifications: If the option: Status in the respective announcement is Disabled, it indicates the announcement is no longer active and users are no longer prompted with notifications when they log into Jira.

 Can we hide the Accept button?

Yes, there is an option to hide or show the Accept button. In the Announcement editor window, click Show advanced options, select the checkbox Should the accept button be shown and click Save. For the next login, the Dismiss button is displayed.

 Is there an option to enable a button after some time?

Yes, there is an option to do so. In the Announcement editor window, click Show advanced options, select the checkbox Enable the button after 5 seconds and click Save. For the next login, the Dismiss button is activated after 5 seconds, ensuring the user has the opportunity to read the announcement before dismissing it.
