Issue type schemes and their usage

Power Admin for Jira allows you to find any issue type scheme in your configuration and shows all the projects it is assigned to.

Find issue type schemes

  1. On Power Admin's Home page, select Issue Type Scheme from the drop-down, type a name or ID, and start your search.

  2. On the Search results page, click on the name of an issue type scheme. You can filter further the issue type schemes by using the Projects filter next to the search field.

  3. Then, the issue type scheme’s profile page appears.

Search results

The Search results page shows the following information for each issue type scheme:

  • Name and ID of the issue type scheme - you can search for an issue type scheme by its name or ID.

  • Projects - shows the number of projects where the issue type scheme is configured. When you click on the project count lozenge, you can view a list of all these projects.

Profile page

Using the profile page, you can view a list of the projects where the issue type scheme is present in their project configuration.

Usage information

The Summary section shows the number of projects associated with the issue type scheme.

The Details section of the profile page shows details of the projects to which the issue type scheme is assigned. You can further navigate to the profile page of each project.

Actions

The following actions are available for issue type schemes:

  • Rename - click on the name of an issue type scheme to rename it. Rename is a safe activity, which means that the name of the issue type scheme will be updated in all dependent configuration elements referring to it by name.

  • Configure - redirects you to the issue type scheme's configuration page in Jira.

  • Delete - use it to clean your Jira of any unused issue type schemes. Power Admin allows you to delete an issue type scheme if it’s not assigned to any projects.

  • Copy - redirects you to the issue type scheme's copy page in Jira.

  • Export - exports the issue type scheme's usage information in a CSV file.
