Priority schemes

Priority schemes and their usage

Power Admin for Jira allows you to find any priority scheme in your Jira configuration and shows all the projects associated with it.

Find priority schemes

  1. On Power Admin's Home page, select Priority Scheme from the drop-down, type a name or ID, and start your search.

  2. On the Search results page, click on the name of a priority scheme. You can filter further the priority schemes by using the Projects filter next to the search field.

  3. Then, the priority scheme's profile page appears.

Search results

The page with search results shows the following information for each priority scheme:

  • Name and ID of the priority scheme - you can search for a priority scheme by its name or ID.

  • Projects - shows the number of projects where the priority scheme is configured. When you click on the project count lozenge, you can view a list of all these projects.

Profile page

Using the profile page, you can view a list of the projects where the priority scheme is present in their project configuration.

Priority scheme → Project relation

In the configuration, a priority scheme can be associated with a project either from the Project settings → Priorities or the Priorities page → Associate action in the Jira UI. Then, this relation is detected and presented to you by Power Admin.

Usage information

The Summary section shows the number of projects associated with the priority scheme.

The Details section of the profile page shows details of the projects to which the priority scheme is assigned. You can further navigate to the profile page of each project.

The following actions are available for priority schemes:

  • Rename - click on the name of a priority scheme to rename it. Rename is a safe activity, which means that the priority scheme's name will be updated in all dependent configuration elements referring to it by name.

  • Edit - redirects you to the priority scheme's edit page in Jira.

  • Delete - use it to clean your Jira of any unused priority schemes. Power Admin allows you to delete a priority scheme if it’s not assigned to any projects.

  • Copy - redirects you to the priority scheme's copy page in Jira.

  • Export - exports the priority scheme's usage information in a CSV file.
