Timeline mode

The timeline view introduction

The Timeline view of the Overview module shows your boxes:

  • in a box structure (panel on the left)

  • in a task-like way on a timeline (on the right)

Visible boxes

The Overview module lets you view and manage boxes nested in a box you are currently in. The name of the box you are in is visible at the top (next to the box icon). It is also shown at the top of the box structure tree on the left.

Screenshot shows the timeline view of the Overview module. Task structure on the left is highlighted with a blue border. Arrows point to the context box you are in.

On the right, boxes are visualized in a task-like way on a timeline.

To activate period warnings:

  1. Open the View drop down menu at the top.

  2. Put a checkmark in a box next to Period warnings.

Mini-map

Navigate through all your Boxes using the mini-map. Click on the map to adjust the main timeline.

The Boxes in this mode are represented as bars just like on a Gantt chart and a "top-down" mode is used for the sub-Boxes. This means that lower-level boxes can not exceed the parent's period.
