How to pull work logs of an issue within a date range
How to pull work logs of an issue within a date range
This article helps in understanding the default behavior of how the connector pulls the work logs data of an issue and also to apply the filter to pull the work logs within a specific date range.
Instructions
- Log into Jira and navigate to the global navigation Menu(on the top) → AIO Power BI → My Connector URLs.
Note: Access to the app is controlled by the Access Permissions option, which is accessible by the Jira administrator only. Users will not see the AIO Power BI menu item, if the group they belong to is not selected. In this case, the Jira administrator can perform the below steps:- Click on Add New Connector or edit the existing Connector.
Input the JQL and select the work log fields from Time Tracking(work logs) section header i.e.,Time Entry Date field and the other fields(as per your requirement).
Expected behavior:
Step 3 will fetch the issues as per the JQL used in the connector and will display the results accordingly within the Issues and Worklogs table. But when there are 'n' no. of work logs for an issue, you might observe the records in the Worklogs table is huge compared to the issues table.
- To get the data of work logs within a date range, a filter needs to be applied on the Time Entry Date field by selecting the date range as per your requirement. Then load the connector.
