Visualize in Confluence

On this page:

Overview

There are different approaches to visualize Issue Matrix in your Confluence. You can either use the Jira Issue/Filter Macro or the Filter Results Macro in Confluence. With Jira Issue/Filter Macro certain columns may not be displayed because of a known Confluence Issue.

Jira Issue/Filter Macro

If you would like to show issues from Issue Matrix table on a page in your Confluence site, you can use the Confluence Jira Issue/Filter Macro in combination with the issueMatrix JQL function. First, make sure that your Confluence site is connected to your Jira server (for more information on the Confluence→Jira integration, read the Jira Issue Macro Atlassian document).

When you use the issueMatrix function in the Jira Issues Macro, all issues from the given Issue Matrix table for the specific issue, are visible in your Confluence page.

Insert a Jira Issue/Filter Macro in a Confluence page and then use the issueMatrix function like the example on the screenshot.

Known Confluence Issue

JIRA issue macro does not display the data for certain columns. For more information, check here.

Filter Results Macro

If you would like to show the Issue Matrix table in Confluence as you see it in the Issue Navigator in Jira (as a column), you can use the Filter Results Gadget Macro.

  1. First, make sure that your Confluence site is connected to your Jira server (for more information on the Confluence→Jira integration, read the Jira Issue Macro Atlassian document).

  2. Add the Filter Results gadget macro to your Confluence page.

  3. Choose a filter existing on your Jira.

  4. Add the Issue Matrix field (Tasks in the example below) to the Fields to display list.

  5. Configure the rest of the settings per your needs.

Your Issue Matrix will be visualized like the Tasks Issue Matrix field in the example below.
