Add Page Workflow - page tools menu

Add Page Workflow

Use this option in the page tools menu to add a workflow to an individual page or blog post.

The Add Page Workflow option is displayed

  • when there is no active workflow on the page

  • when you have edit permission for the page

As a page editor, you can use the Add Page Workflow option to select and apply a workflow to the page. When you also have space administrator permission, you can choose to add a page workflow or open the app space settings to apply a workflow to all the pages in a space.

You can also use the Add Workflow byline on the page to add a page workflow.

Using the Add Page Workflow option

Choose the Add Page Workflow option in the page tools menu. Different options are displayed depending on your role and Confluence user permissions:

Page editor

If you have Confluence edit permission for the page, the Add workflow dialog box lets you choose a workflow to add to the page.

The Add workflow dialog box lists all the workflows in the document management space settings.

You can scroll down to view the available workflows in the space and choose View Detail to inspect the workflow as a visual flowchart

To add the workflow to the page

  • select a workflow (a selected workflow is highlighted in blue)

  • choose Apply

Depending on the workflow, some setup can be required before it is added and applied to the page. For example, the Content Expiry Workflow requires you to set up and save the workflow page parameter value used for the Approved state expiration.

The successful addition of the workflow is confirmed in an on-screen message.

If the page view is not updated, refresh it to view it with the added workflow and show the added workflow state byline.

Space administrator

If you have Confluence edit permission for the page and space administrator permission, the Add workflow dialog box is displayed.
