How can a user copy roles to new project created from a template with Delegated Project Creator for Jira

This article explains how a user, who is not an administrator, can copy roles to a new project created from a template with the Delegated Project Creator for Jira app.

Instructions

  1. Log in to Jira as an administrator.
  2. Go to the source project through which the template is created.
  3. Go to Project settings and navigate to Permissions as shown:

  4. Select Edit Permissions under Actions drop-down in Project Permissions to change the permissions; the project permission scheme opens.
  5. Grant the Administer Projects permission to the user. For this example, a user named Adam Smith - Adam.Smith@appfiresupport.com is used:
  6. Next, create a new project from a template. Refer to How to create a Project Template with Delegated Project Creator for Jira for more information.
  7. Select Users and roles from Project settings. 

All roles from the template project are copied to the new project.
