How to downgrade to an older compatible version
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for downgrading apps to a previous version. This can be useful if there are blocking problems with the newest version.
Instructions
Uninstall the current version.
Navigate to the Confluence administration panel.
Select Manage Apps from the menu.
Locate the plugin you wish to downgrade.
Click Uninstall. Note that this action removes the plugin but does not delete any associated data.
Download the older version.
Go to the Marketplace, select the app you wish to get the older version of, and then select the required version.
Access the Versions tab or section (for example, LaTeX Math - Version History on the Atlassian Marketplace).
Identify and select the older version you want to install.
Download the corresponding
.jar
or.obr
file for that version.
Install the older version.
Return to the Manage Apps section in Confluence.
Click Upload app or Install app from the file.
Browse and select the downloaded
.jar
or.obr
file.Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Verify installation.
Once the installation is complete, go back to the Manage Apps section.
Check the plugin version to confirm that the older version is now active.
Test these steps in the stage environment first.
Ensure you have the necessary permissions to uninstall and install apps.
Verify compatibility of the older plugin version with your current Confluence instance to avoid potential issues.
