You can also run the pre-upgrade checks as part of the upgrade process after installing v7.0+
Read Only Mode is not required for the pre-upgrade checks but must be enabled when upgrading the space data after installing v7.0+.

Updating to v7.0+
It is recommended updating to the latest version of Comala Document Management v6 prior to updating to Comala Document Management 7.
install v7.0+
On installation, existing spaces with workflow activity need to have their workflow data upgraded to use document activity. This can be done by a global administrator, selecting one or more spaces at a time, using the Document Activity Upgrade console.
Running the pre-upgrade data checks for existing spaces with workflow activity provides you with information to validate that the data upgrade to document activity used in Comala Document Management 7 will run smoothly. The check also provides an estimate of the time your data center instance will need to be in Read-Only mode for the upgrade for the selected spaces to take place to allow you to plan accordingly for minimal disruption to your users.
