About the timebox timeline and markers
The Board module visualizes project timeboxes (Program Increments, Sprints, or Iterations) on a horizontal timeline. You can add date markers to the timeline to highlight important events on your timeline, like milestones or stakeholder meetings.
Timeline
The timeline starts at the earliest timebox's start date on the board and ends with the latest timebox's end date.
Navigation arrows
The arrows on the left and right sides allow you to move backward or forward one timebox at a time.
Today button
Click the Today button to immediately move the timeline to the current Program Increment or Iteration (if such a timebox exists).
Zoom in / zoom out buttons
Zoom in or zoom out to change the number of Program Increments or Iterations displayed on the board. You can display up to seven timeboxes on the board. The maximum number depends on your screen resolution (above 2400 pixels width).
Markers
The marker functionality can also be found in the Gantt, Board, and Roadmap modules. To learn more, visit the page about Markers.
Markers can indicate important events on the timeline, such as milestones.
You can:
show a list of markers on a selected date,
create a new marker,
edit the existing marker,
delete the existing marker
directly on the board timeline.
