KB : How to extend TFS4JIRA Cloud add-on evaluation license?
According to the Atlassian Customer Advocates team they are NOT able to extend the evaluation license for Cloud customers that are paying on a monthly basis. The system doesn't allow to extend the evaluation further. However, if the request is within the evaluation time and the Cloud customer is running in an annual subscription, it is possible to extend it. Please double check this information with Atlassian when asking for an extension.
Why?
Because if a customer has a Jira Cloud instance and wants to extend the evaluation license of the TFS4JIRA Cloud add-on they won't be able to do it by themselves and Atlassian will not be able to do it either in case they contact them – mainly because they need our approval to do that.
In this case, we must contact Atlassian on behalf of the customer and approve the extension of the evaluation license.
Extending trial license for Atlassian Cloud customers evaluating TFS4JIRA
Go to https://partners-jira.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/19/group/173.
Make sure you're logged in.
Select General Purchasing and Licensing Inquiries.
Fill in the fields with the following details:
After that tell the customer you've reached out to Atlassian and is waiting for a response.
If Atlassian confirms the extension, tell the customer to check the Manage add-ons page inside Jira Cloud and confirm that the evaluation period was extended.
If Atlassian tells you they're unable to do that, tell the customer that unfortunately Atlassian does not allow to extend the evaluation further.
P.S. This is a very manual process, but so far it's the only way we found to help customers extend the evaluation period for the TFS4JIRA add-on in Jira Cloud.
