KB : How to do a recovery for TFS4JIRA Synchronizer

If you have your previous config.sdf file, you may do a recovery for your TFS4JIRA Synchronizer data. The steps are as following,

  1. Install the proper version of your TFS4JIRA Synchronizer, it will be the best if it matches your previous Synchronizer version that your config.sdf file is from.

  2. Go to IIS Manager → Application Pools → Stop the TFS4JIRA app pool

  3. Place the config.sdf file that you backed-up before to the Synchronizer installation directory

  4. Clear the Synchronizer's caches

  5. Start & Recycle TFS4JIRA app pool in IIS Manager

  6. Access the Synchronizer to see if everything is alright after logging in.
