Overview

This tab allows a global administrator to set the Global default settings for workflow notifications.

These settings can be overridden at space level, on a space-by-space basis via Notifications - Space Tools.

Settings

The default notifications for given workflow events should be Enabled for most installations.

However, if you are using customized notifications, usually via the send-email macro, this can potentially cause duplicate emails for the same events. If using custom notifications, consider disabling the default notifications.

Slack notification

Send Comala Document Management default workflow notifications to Slack users when using Appfire Docs+ app.

Send custom Slack messages using the send-slack-user macro in a workflow trigger.

For a user to receive any notifications when assigned to a task, approval, or read confirmation, the user needs at least Pages - Add permission in the space.

For an approval, a user is not sent an email notification if they assign themselves.
