Hidden/Missing Tabs and Options
Box type settings affect the availability of tabs in Box Configuration and the functioning of the Box (greyed-out options, unavailable features, hidden tabs).
Box type Module Availability
To be able to change module settings, you first have to make sure a given module is active for a Box type. Otherwise, the module itself won't be available for Boxes of a given type. In such a situation, relevant tabs are also missing from Box Configuration.
Hidden or Missing
Inheritance mode
If you set the mode to "Inherited only" the resulting Box won't have its setup, so the related tab is removed, as it would be redundant.
