Compatibility update for Confluence 9.1.0

This release provides compatibility with Confluence 9.1 for Data Center.

Impersonation group for Refresh Data

The Impersonation group for Refresh Data is a new setting in the app global configuration. It is used to let a space administrator successfully refresh the data for a space, including pages with page-level edit restrictions.

A global administrator can select a Confluence administrators group to impersonate a Confluence administrator when the refresh data process is run in a space by the space administrator. This will ensure the process has access to restricted pages.

Improvement in document activity upgrade prechecks

The document activity upgrade precheck process now detects duplicated states in the page activity data and identifies the related pages in the support package created, preventing a failed data upgrade from being executed.

The document states report macro now includes comments added on a state transition

A comment added by a user on a state transition is now displayed in the document states report macro.

Migration to cloud improvement

During a cloud migration, pages in the space trash are skipped, allowing the migration to complete successfully and setting the migration status to Complete. Previously, pages in the space trash caused the migration status to be set as Incomplete.

Bug fixes

The following issues are fixed in this release:

• fixed the following issues introduced in version 7.6.0

  • fixed an error that did not allow editing parameters - space tools

  • the page status macro was not being rendered

  • fixed an error that caused a read confirmation to break when its due date expired

  • fixed a compatibility issue with Refined for Confluence that caused display problems in the workflow builder and markup editor

• fixed an issue that caused an error when attempting to add both a user and a user group as readers for a read confirmation using the workflow builder

• fixed an issue that caused errors in the email queue when sending an email to a user without an email address using the send-email macro. A warning is now logged to indicate the issue

• fixed a problem that caused the document approvals report macro to display fewer approvals than were present

• fixed a problem using the set-message macro that caused a null pointer exception error in the logs

• fixed a problem that prevented the add-comment macro from rendering the Confluence XHTML format

• fixed a problem displaying the footer correctly in the document states report macro

• fixed the problem when modifying a user group value for a workflow parameter on a page: the Save option was greyed out in the dialog box instead of being enabled

• fixed a problem that retrieved incorrect cached values for editable workflow parameters in the page-level workflow parameters editor

• removed the document states report macro name when rendering the report table in a page export to PDF or Word

• fixed a problem where space admins were not allowed to access the Document Activity of pages with edit restrictions

• fixed overlapping UI elements in some of the report macros' footer section when used with narrow page layouts
