PCJ - Troubleshooting the Error : "There is already a configuration import/conflict detection task running"

 Problem

When trying to start an import, it displays the below error message:

 

Cause

If an import process is stuck and the browser window is closed, an import process may run in the background. This process runs in the same JIRA thread, so several cannot be launched simultaneously.

 

 Solution

  • For the Server instance, to run a new import, the only way to do it is by restarting the Jira instance.

  • For the Data Center instance, all the nodes should be restarted. Keep in mind that to completely stop the process, you must stop all the nodes at once and restart and not one by one since the cache would be replicated from one node to another.
