Will Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ) migrate commented Jira issue links?

 Problem

If a project has Jira issue references in its comment sections, will the CMJ migrate those issue links?

 Solution

CMJ will migrate whatever is in the comment box without any changes. But if the commented issue links are hyperlinks, they will point to the old instance URL, which is the source instance. So, you have to update the links manually after migration.

Example:

Here, you can see that one of the issues is mentioned in the comment box with the link.

Source instance:

Open

After migrating the projects to the target instance, the issue mentioned in the comment box remains the same with no changes.

Target instance:

Open

So, the links need to be updated manually to the target instance URL link.
