Features depending on the Context to Use Dashboard Hub

You have the option to display Dashboard Hub metrics and insights as i) full-fledged dashboards or as ii) individual Dashboard Hub gadgets. Depending on the monday.com context, you can choose what’s more suitable.

We provide more than 75 metrics and insights in small pieces of content called “gadgets”. The counterpart in monday.com are the so called widgets

Dashboard Hub as Board view (feature)

The Board View allows you to create a new (or select an existing) Dashboard Hub dashboard, so you can enjoy features as the external sharing, dark mode, set permissions to collaborate, etc.

To a Dashboard Hub dashboard as a board view, click on the + icon and Apps, there, find Dashboard Hub for monday.com:

Dashboard Hub as Widget (feature)

After creating a dashboard in monday.com, you can add two types of Dashboard Hub widgets:

  • Dashboard Hub - Dashboard. A complete Dashboard Hub dashboard (new or existing),

  • Dashboard Hub - Gadget. A single gadget from the complete catalog of +75 metrics and insights .

To add a Dashboard view, click on the + icon and select Dashboard, then click on the + icon and select More widgets, as below:

This option is ideal when you’ve got existing monday.com dashboards, or want to display widgets from monday.com or third-party vendors in the same dashboard.

Widgets in workdocs

A workdoc is where your team and you can write notes and ideas, with the flexibility of adding certain elements.

One of these elements are widgets, so you can easily add real metrics and insights from any workspace and any board, because again, you can add two types of Dashboard Hub widgets: i) A complete new or existing Dashboard Hub dashboard, ii) A single gadget from the complete catalog of +75 metrics and insights .

Dashboard Hub as Custom Object (feature)

Within each workspace, there are some objects like Boards, Docs, Dashboards, Forms… If we create a board, and a view within that board, we’ll be in the context of that board. If we add a doc and a embed a widget then, we’ll be in the context of that doc. However, we can create a Dashboard Hub object outside the context of Boards, Docs, Dashboards, Forms

For doing so, click on the + Add icon in your workspace, and find </> New Dashboard Hub:

Now, you can create your Dashboard Hub dashboard on its own:
