Field Change Counter custom field

The Field Change Counter custom field calculates how many times a particular field has been changed so far.

Step 1: Create a Field Change Counter custom field

  1. From Jira settings, navigate to Manage Apps.

  2. From the side menu, find Enhancer Plugin for JIRA.

  3. Click Custom Field Configuration.

  4. Click theĀ Add new JEP custom field button.

  5. Click theĀ CounterĀ tab on the left-hand side of the dialogue.Ā 

  6. Select Field Change Counter, then clickĀ Add custom field.

Step 2: Configure the field

  1. Fill in the dialog box:

    • Name ā€“ Create a name for the custom field (this will appear on screens and can be used in JQL).

    • Field ā€“ Select the field whose changes you want the custom field to count.

  2. Click theĀ Save custom field button.

You must link the custom field with the appropriate screens to see them. For more information, refer to the Jira documentation.

UsageĀ in JQL searches

You can use the Field Change Counter in your JQL (Jira Query Language) searches to filter and sort issues.
