This page is about JEP for Jira DC. Using Cloud? Click here.

The Enhancer Plugin (JEP) gives you the flexibility to tailor calendars to your needs. You can define multiple time frames per day, set up recurring or one-off holidays, and even configure half-day schedules to suit your needs.

Accessing Calendar settings

  1. From Jira settings, navigate to Manage Apps.

  2. From the side menu, find Enhancer Plugin for JIRA.

  3. Click Calendars.

  4. To create a new calendar, click the New Calendar button.

  1. First, create a unique name for your calendar.

  2. Select a time zone for your calendar. JEP will automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST) when applicable.

  3. Configure your working week by adding multiple time intervals as needed.

  4. Configure the length of the business day. JEP will use this information while formatting durations. The options are:

    • Calculate from the calendar: JEP uses the first working day in the week to define business day length.

    • Use a custom duration: Enter a custom duration that suits your business needs.

  5. You can add holidays to your calendar with the following details:

    • Name: Assign a name to the holiday.

    • Date: Specify the date. For recurring holidays, the year is ignored.

    • Recurring: When enabled, this holiday will repeat each year.

    • Type: If you’d like to use a custom working interval for a specific date (like half-day holidays in some countries), select Half Day. The Whole Day option is for a standard holiday.

  6. Shared holidays are shared by all calendars. Any changes made on these holidays will affect all calendars. Be aware that each calendar evaluates shared holidays within its own time zone.

Migrating to a new calendar system

JEP automatically migrates all existing calendars to the new system. Unused calendars are not migrated. Migrated calendars will have a "(Migrated)" prefix in their name, which you can rename as needed.
