Configure context for Issue Matrix

Once you create an Issue Matrix field, you can configure a context different than the default one for this custom field. For more information on configuring a context, check the Atlassian document Configuring a custom field.

With configuring the context, you can achieve:

  1. Different configuration for different projects.

  2. Different configuration for different issue types.

In Jira, there is only one default visualization of Sub-tasks and Linked issues for the whole instance, and it is not customizable. Issue Matrix for Jira presents you and your teams with a more flexible approach to visualize sub-tasks and issue links. The app provides multiple features to customize the way you view and present Sub-tasks, Linked Issues, and Issues in Epics according to your needs.

Example

In the example below, the Issue Matrix will be shown only in Tasks for All projects.

  1. When the Task Issue type is selected, the Issue Matrix field will be shown only in Tasks.

  2. When Global Context is selected, the configuration will apply to all Projects.

 

Edit the configuration

Review the context configuration in the "Applicable contexts for scheme" and proceed with the Issue Matrix Configuration.
