Release date: Jul 11, 2024
Our team is thrilled to announce the latest release of Tableau Connector Pro for Jira.
AC version: 1.8.23-AC
New feature
Tableau Connector Pro for Jira supports OData connector
Now, you can create an OData connector URL to import data to Tableau Desktop.
Create OData connector URL
Navigate to Jira > Tableau Connector Pro > My Connectors.
The OData page displays a form for creating a connector URL. For more information, refer to My Connectors - OData.
Import data using the OData connector URL
Navigate to Jira > Tableau Connector Pro > My Connectors and copy the connector URL.
To import the Jira data into Tableau Desktop using the OData connector URL, refer to Import into Tableau - OData.
Once you import the data, to publish the workbook and schedule refreshes, refer to Publish workbook and schedule refreshes - OData connector.
The data imported using the OData connector in Tableau Desktop may contain one or more blank rows. This is due to a known issue within Tableau software.
Migrate from WDC(Legacy) to OData
Appfire recommends to migrate WDC(legacy) to OData connectors. To know how to migrate, refer to How to migrate from WDC(legacy) to OData.
Jira administrator can view the list of all the connectors owned by different users under the Administration > All Connectors section. For more information, refer to All Connectors.
Tableau OData datatype connector also supports Insights (now Assets) and Projectrack integration.
