My Connectors - OData
To open the OData page and create a Connector URL, navigate to Jira > Tableau Connector Pro > My Connectors. The OData is the default landing page of the app.
The Tableau Connector Pro for the Jira app supports OData V4. The Open Data Protocol (OData) is a data access protocol built on core protocols like HTTP and commonly accepted methodologies like REST for the web. For more information, refer to OData.
It is recommended that you use the OData datatype connector, as Tableau has marked WDC 2.0 as deprecated. For more information, refer to My Connectors.
For the app version 4.3.0 with OData connector support, the Tableau Desktop minimum supported version is 2023.3.
Data Center: After the application link is set and OAuth access is approved, you are navigated to the OData tab to create your first Connector URL. Refer to the Application Link (Jira Hosted only).
Create an OData Connector URL
The OData page displays a form for creating a Connector URL.

Follow the steps to create a connector URL on either Data Center or cloud hosting. You can create Multiple connectors using these steps.
Provide the Connector name and description (optional).
Specify a JQL Query to filter the issues to be fetched by the connector.
Select the fields to be pulled by the connector.
Click Save and Close.
Ensure to enter a valid JQL Query. The input validation check is performed when the user clicks Validate JQL or Save and Close. If the JQL field contains malicious content, an error message is displayed and the user is not allowed to proceed further.
The Connector URL is generated.
To copy the Connector URL, click COPY URL.
To create a new connector URL, click Add New Connector.
Tableau Connector Pro for Jira - Cloud instance: Once you provide the connector details and click Save and Close, this dialog will appear if the Administrator has set the authentication to mandatory.
To make the Connector URL secure on the cloud, provide the Username and Password and click Save.
This is applicable only to Tableau Connector Pro for Jira - Cloud instance.
Tableau Connector Pro for Jira - Data Center instance: The Web Connector URL is, by default, secured.

If the Administrator has made it mandatory for the users to set the username and password, then the Set connector username and password dialog appears. Refer to App Settings.
If the Administrator has not made the authentication mandatory, the Connector URL details get saved, and the Connector URL is displayed.
The Connector URL generated has anonymous access to users.
It is recommended to set a username and password (though the Administrator has not made it mandatory) to ensure a secure Connector URL. To set the username and password, click Make Private.
The username and password set apply to all the Connector URLs.
If required, you can Update the username and password. To update, on the My Connectors > OData screen, click Make Private.
Only if the Administrator has not made authentication mandatory, you can remove the username and password.
