Periodic Met vs. Exceeded Issue gadget

The Periodic Met vs. Exceeded Issue Chart gadget helps visualize issue counts based on their SLA indicator status over a weekly or monthly period. The horizontal axis represents dates, while the vertical axis shows the number of issues for each status.

This guide will walk you through the steps to add and configure the gadget on your Jira dashboard.

What this gadget displays

  • Issue counts by indicator status: Each issue is counted once based on its final indicator status, even if it has multiple SLAs.

  • Time-based trends: You can track how issues are meeting or exceeding SLA targets over time.

Add the Periodic Met vs. Exceeded Issue gadget

  1. Go to the Dashboard you want to add the gadget to.

  2. Click Add gadget or Add a new gadget.

  3. Search for TTS - Periodic Met vs Exceeded Issue.

  4. Click Add Gadget.The TTS - Periodic Met vs Exceeded Issue gadget configuration screen appears

  5. Configure the gadget:

    • Select a Filter or a Project to pick which issues to include in the gadget. You MUST pick only one filter or one project.

    • Select SLAs to include in the count, or leave it blank if you want to include all SLAs.

    • Select a Time Period for the gadget to display. It can be weekly or monthly.

    • Enter the number of days in the past from the selected time period for which you want to collect data.

    • Select which date of the issue (Issue Created Date, Issue Resolution Date) should be considered while grouping the data.

    • Tick Include Progressing Issues if you want to see issues that are still in progress on the graph.

    • Select Graph Type (Stacked, Distributed). (See graph types below).

    • Create a Custom Gadget Title. This custom title will be displayed on top of the gadget.

    • Select Refresh Interval.

  6. Click Save.

Your gadget is now added to the dashboard.

Time to SLA gadgets use Lucene indexes for scalability, just like Jira gadgets. If you notice inconsistent numbers, it may be due to index issues. For assistance, please contact our support team.
