Handling Automation for Jira during Server-to-Server Migrations

Automation for Jira may encounter limitations as the app is not currently supported by the Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ) for server/DC-to-server/DC migrations. This situation requires manual intervention for exporting and importing automation rules.

 Workaround

  1. Export Automation Rules: Use Automation for Jira's native export feature to generate an export file of your automation rules from the Source environment.

  2. Import to Production: Import the exported file into your production environment using the native import feature.

  3. Manual Adjustments Required: After importing, manually adjust the rules to align with the new environment's configuration objects, as the IDs of these objects will differ between instances.
