How to change the issue request type for Chat for JSM app

This article will guide you in changing the pre-configured request type for a chat in the JSM app.

  1. Go to Project settings.

  1. Chat Settings >> General Settings >> Click on You can customize request types in the Jira settings.

  1. Navigate to Unassigned >> select three Dots and click on Delete

  1. After deleting the issue type, open the chat dashboard. You will be shown a prompt. You can select Issue Type from the dashboard as well.

Issue type used for Chat requests was removed.
You will no longer receive requests from Chat channels.

  1. Navigate to Project settings >> Chat settings, and it will redirect to global chat settings, where you can select the request type you want to configure and click on Start.

  1. Now, on the Chat setting, you will be able to see the configured new request type.
