This article will walk you through the following process:

1 Add Heading Numbering
- 1.1 Enable automatic numbering of headings
2 Delete Heading Numbering
- 2.1 Remove the heading number of a page
- 2.2 Remove the heading number for all page in a space

Add Heading Numbering

The numbering is added to your page according to the format that you have selected on the configuration page.

Enable automatic numbering of headings

If the Enable automatic numbering of headings checkbox is checked, the heading number is automatically added to all pages.
If the Enable automatic numbering of headings checkbox is unchecked, you must click the '' button in the page editor toolbar to add numbering to a page.

Remove the heading number of a page

To remove the heading number of a page(s), you can simply go to Edit mode and click the button, the heading number is removed.

Remove the heading number for all page in a space

To remove the heading number of a page(s), go to Space Tools → Numbered Headings and disable the Default option for automatic numbering.
