Recreate Snapshot
Â
On this page:
Overview
You can create a snapshot by using another snapshot on your Jira instance as a template. You need to choose a snapshot created previously on the system and activate the Recreate option for this particular snapshot. The process of recreating a snapshot is fast and easy. You just need to provide a new snapshot name and confirm the creation. Your snapshot is recreated without going through the various options in the snapshot wizard; instead, the primary snapshot and its options serve as a template.
Recreate option is available for snapshots created with Configuration Manager version 6.5.3 or higher. For older snapshots, the option is disabled in the Actions menu.
Use Cases
Change something on the source instance and recreate the same snapshot.
Create a snapshot of your source instance.
After deploying it to the target Jira instance, you are not satisfied with the diff.Â
Back on the source instance, change something, e.g., a workflow.
Instead of creating the snapshot again and going through all the wizard steps, click the Recreate option on the existing snapshot, and create an up-to-date version of it.
Periodically create an up-to-date version of a snapshot (backup your system regularly).
