Edit an approval in a state

Overview

An existing approval (content review) can be edited for a state in a custom workflow.

The approval in a workflow state is edited in the approval editor in the workflow builder visual editor.

Approvals can only be edited for a custom workflow. Approvals in a bundled workflow cannot be edited.

Edit an approval

Existing approvals in a workflow state are edited in the approval editor in the workflow builder visual editor.

For a custom workflow in the app space settings:

  • choose Edit with Visual Builder

This displays the state editor for the chosen state in the left-hand workflow panel.

The state editor displays the number of approvals in the state.

  • choose Approvals in the state editor

Existing approvals in the state are listed by approval name.

Choose the approval name to edit the approval

  • edit the required Reviewers option

    • edit the users or groups to reviewers options (if available for the selected reviewers setting)

If required

  • edit the Minimum approvals value to set the number of reviewer decisions required to complete an approval

Edit the Advanced options

  • Set custom action labels for approve and reject button names in the workflow popup

  • edit Credentials requirement for reviewer authentication

In the approval editor, choose Add to save the updated approval to the workflow state.

Add the state transitions for Approve and Reject using the workflow visual editor for this new approval.
