Welcome to Comala Publishing
Overview
Comala Publishing allows you to manage and share your space content and keep your draft and published Confluence documentation separate. This supports teams in collaborating on draft content development without compromising your approved public content.
Comala Publishing includes
publish and sync pages and blog posts between spaces in the same instance
make a one-off copy of pages and blog posts from one space to another space in the same instance
create static versioned documents from your dynamic Confluence page content and manage user access using collections
Comala Publishing space publishing and snapshot publishing integration with Comala Document Management provides automated document lifecycle processes.
The space administrator has the key role in configuring and managing publishing. The space administrator can
link two spaces in the same instance for publishing - a source space and a target space
publish the whole space content (pages and blogs) from the source space to the target space for published content
track what documents or whole space content are in sync across the source and target space
allow users to publish single pages from the space
copy entire space content to another space in the same instance
enable snapshot publishing in a space to allow the creation of static versioned documents of your dynamic Confluence content
create and manage snapshot collections by document type and user permissions, not space permissions
manage permitted users' view access to a versioned, read-only view of Confluence pages
Automate the documentation process by
configuring space publishing options for whole space publishing to publish only the latest approved workflow final state version for each document
publishing a document to a target space on an applied workflow event using the publish-page macro in a workflow trigger
publishing versioned snapshot documents using the snapshot-page macro in an applied workflow trigger to a named snapshot collection
publishing a snapshot document using the pdf-export macro in an applied workflow trigger to add the snapshot as a pdf attachment to the page
Install the app and visit Getting Started to see how to
configure the global app permissions to set the spaces that can be published or copied and the users who publish or copy content
define a space for your draft source content and link to a target space for space publishing
create collections to allow users to contribute snapshots and manage the users who can view the collection
