How to use the URL to Excel file parameter in Excel for Confluence app
This article explains how to use the URL to Excel file parameter in the Excel for Confluence app.
Instructions
- Log in as a Confluence administrator.
- Navigate to > Add-ons > Find new apps and search for "Excel for Confluence". Ensure you have Excel for Confluence app installed in your Confluence instance.
- Log in as any user in your Confluence instance and add an Excel file to a page as required.
- Right-click the file and select Copy Link Address. Note that this address is different from the URL of the webpage.
- Insert and Edit the Excel macro.
Enter the copied URL in the URL to Excel file field, and, provide the username and password in the URL user and URL user password fields respectively.
- Save the macro settings and publish the page.
