Administration

In this section, you can manage your resources, their working hours and non-working days, and the default setting of boxes.

The business Administration section of the app lets you configure features shared by different modules.

Security and access

Only a user with the app administrator security role can access the Administration page.

To access the BigPicture Administration page:

Method 1 (Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center)

  1. Open BigPicture.

  2. Click the wrench icon at the top.

  3. Select the administration section you want to go to.

  1. Open the BigPicture drop-down menu

  2. Click Administration.

Configure templates that will be used when adding new boxes using the Overview module.

Resources

Manage the resources' holidays, work time, and capacity in the following sections:

  • Individuals - This tab lets you add new resources and define the related information concerning resources.

  • Skills - Each resource possesses a set of skills defined in this section. It is also possible to plan for new skills acquired in the future.

  • Workload plans - The workload plans are the basis for the resource capacity, i.e. they determine the availability of the resources during the week.

  • Holiday plans - The holiday plans allow you to define the unavailability of the resource. There are two types of holidays: fixed and floating.

The Gantt module and Resources module use the information to automate the planning of your tasks.

Security

Access and permissions within BigPicture can be managed and assigned to individuals or groups.
