This article explains how to add branches for Bamboo plans in bulk using Bamboo Command Line Interface (CLI).

Instructions

  1. Create a CSV file with required data filled into the columns plan and branch as shown in the following screenshot:

  2. Combine the actions runFromCsv and addBranch to create branches in bulk. Note that this example works because the column names in the CSV file are the same as the parameter names for addBranch.

    --action runFromCsv --file bulkBranches.csv --common "--action addBranch"

It is recommended to test this scenario in a test environment or run the action with the --simulate parameter to verify the behavior before deploying.
