Configuration Manager for Jira Cloud - Troubleshooting the error “Something’s gone wrong”.

 Problem

This article explains how to troubleshoot the error, “Something’s gone wrong”, when accessing the Configuration Manager for Jira Cloud(CMJC) app.

 Solution

Troubleshooting steps

  • Try to re-install the CMJ Cloud app.

  • Check if the license is activated from the billing section or check if there are any billing-related issues.

  • Try to access it in different browsers or incognito windows.

If none of the above steps help and the issue persists, generate a HAR file and check the network for any issues in the firewall that could prevent the app from being accessed. Here are the instructions:

  1. Analyze the HAR file and check if there is a '0' status code for the CMJ entries. If present, that means there is no response when the start page of the CMJ app is requested.

  2. Make sure that the browser has access to cmj.botronsoftcloud.com. The access can be verified with this page: https://cmj.botronsoftcloud.com/atlassian-connect.json. If one can open this link and see the JSON, then CMJC’s UI should work.

The JSON’s contents are irrelevant, it’s just a static resource hosted on this domain.

  1. If one cannot access the link, it means the network firewall is blocking the CMJ app. In that case, check with the network administrator and whitelist the “botronsoftcloud.com” domain in the network firewall.

  2. Once the domain is whitelisted, re-install the CMJC app and it should work now.
