Jira Product Discovery is common to a regular Jira project in many ways and unique in others. Because of these difference there may be some automation triggers that are not possible with Product Discover. This is not necessarily a compatibility issue with Power Scripts and Product Discover, it is merely a reflection of those differences.

Compatible automation triggers/features

Many triggers or features are completely unaffected by Product Discovery since they don’t live directly in the project. The most important thing to note is that event based actions are compatible and will serve as a replacement for most of the missing automation triggers.

• SIL Listeners (event based actions)

• Sil Runner dashboard gadget

• SIL Scheduler

• Webhooks

Incompatible automation triggers/features

Jira Product Discover does not have the same highly configurable workflow that normal Jira projects do. Because of this there is no way to add custom automation directly to the workflow. Instead, many of the same use cases can be accomplished by using listeners (event based actions).

The following triggers are not available with Product Discovery:

• SIL Panel

• Workflow automation

  • Conditions

  • Validators

  • Post Functions
