How to manage persistent variables

You can manage persistent variables directly from the Persistent Vars menu situated on the right side of the SIL Manager.

How to create a persistent variable

To create a new persistent varialbe:

  1. Open the Persistent vars menu and click the plus (plus icon.png) icon in the upper right corner of the panel.

  2. In the pop-up window that opens, do the following:

    1. If you are creating a variable specific to just one issue, enter the issue key in the Context field.

    2. In the Name field, provide a unique name for the new persistent variable.

    3. Type the value of the new variable.

  3. Click OK

How to modify a persistent variable

To modify the value of a persistent variable:

  1. Open the Persistent variables panel and locate the variable you want to edit.

  2. Click inside the value field.
    This enables the inline editing mode.

     

  3. Type a new value and click the check (check-icon.png) icon to save it.

How to delete a persistent variable

To delete a persistent variable:

  1. Open the Persistent variables panel and locate the variable you want to delete.

  2. Click the delete (bin-icon.png ) icon next to the persistent variable name.

Changes made to an issue-specific persistent variable only affect that particular issue.
