Some parameters for the Page Approval macro can be configured globally in Confluence Administration.

Open the global settings

Navigate to the top menu bar cog icon

• select General configuration

On the General Configuration screen, look in the sidebar and look for Page Approval Configuration.

• choose Page Approval Properties

• Show role field

• Show comment field

• Show acknowledgment

Configure how users are notified about approval events by choosing the dropdown options for each of

• Notified users

• Notified actions

Choose whether to notify users for one or more of the following events by checking each option

• Notify on approval events

• Notify on acknowledgment events

Other Page Approval Settings

Configure the default behavior of Page Approval by checking the options to

• Fix the list of users when the Users or Acknowledgers parameters are used

• Unapprove pages when a new user is registered to them (this may happen due to a group membership change, etc.)
