Overview

In the source space, you can manually publish each page using the publishing state byline and publishing popup.

The Publish button is only displayed when single-page publishing is enabled for the space, and the ellipsis menu option is only displayed for space administrators.

In the publishing dashboard of the space (the source space), you must have

You will also need view and edit permissions for both the source space and the target space.

When publishing permissions in the space are set to use the Comala Publishing for Confluence Cloud app add-on user, the publishing user does not need target space permissions to publish a page. Instead, publishing relies on the app add-on user’s permissions in the target space

If you publish a document using a Comala workflow added to the page, you can consider disabling single-page publishing.

When a spacis enabled for publishing and a target space has been set, standalone single-page publishing is enabled by default for each space.

  • the View Published Version link button to the published page

  • the Publish button option to publish the page again

Synced page

When a page is published to the target space, the publishing state byline on the page in the source space changes to Synced. This byline has also been added to the published page in the target space.

The publishing popup displays

  • the current time elapsed since the sync occurred

  • Publish button option

  • View Published Version button to display the page in the target space

The page in the target space (Human Resources public space) also displays the Synced state byline.

The publishing popup in the target space includes a link button to the source space version of the page.

Out of sync page

If there are any changes to the page content that has been published, the publishing state byline is changed to Out of sync.

  • changes on the target or the source space page cause the page to be out of sync

  • both the target and the source space page publishing state byline will be Out of sync

Deleting a page

Deleting the page in the target space adds the Out of sync state byline to the source space page.

Removing the page in the source space adds a Removed state byline to the target space page.

Warning message

If a page is published without a parent in the target space, it is published to the root of the space.

Successful publishing is confirmed with a warning message.

You might need to

  • manually change the hierarchy in the target space or

  • delete this published page and republish after the parent page is published
