After the application link setup is complete, when users go to Jira > Tableau Pro > My Connector URL for the very first time, they are presented with a dialog box to approve OAuth access.
Click on the link in the dialog box, and click Allow on the next screen
After clicking Allow, a Web Data Connector URL is generated for the user
The Web Data Connector URL can be added to Tableau Desktop as a Data Source to import the data
The Connector URL is unique to each user and maps user’s Jira permissions behind it
The Web Data Connector URL generated has anonymous access to users.
To make the Web Data Connector URL secure, set up the Access Code. To set an Access Code, click the Edit icon, enter the access code, and click Save .
