Space Publishing - space configuration
Overview
A space administrator can use the space tools Space Publishing dashboard to configure the options for publishing and syncing pages and blog posts in a space.
These publishing settings are applied to both single page publishing and whole space publishing.
Space publishing dashboard
In the source space choose the Space Publishing option from the space tools menu.
If no space has not been linked, a message will ask you to set up space publishing by linking a source and target space and performing an initial synchronization of the content.
The initial configuration requirement is to link two spaces for publishing and syncing content - you must set up a source space and a target space.
Choose Publish to another space
the target space is set using a dropdown menu
the current space will be the source space
The pages of this current space will be the source space and will be published to another space in the same instance - the target space.
Choose Publish from another Space
a dropdown menu selection sets the source space - the space from which content will be published to the current space
the current space will be the target space
Once the spaces are linked, all further configuration takes place in the source space space publishing dashboard.
Space publishing space configuration options
The following configuration options are displayed in the Space Publishing dashboard in the source space that has been linked to a target space for space publishing.
The space Publishing dashboard in the linked target space displays a link to the space publishing dashboard in the source space.
You can also choose to simply copy the space content to another space using the Copy Space dashboard select a target space and configure the options for copying the content
Source draft space dashboard
If the current space has been linked to a published target space the space publishing dashboard will display details of the linked target space and the last time of whole space synchronization.
the current space name (the source space)
the space currently configured as the published space (the target space)
the space publishing status showing date and time of the most recent whole space synchronization
If the current space is the source space, the space may also have a draft watermark ((if configured) added to its name in the sidebar.
Target published space dashboard
If the current space is an existing published space a message will display a link to the draft space to configure the publishing options.
Comala Publishing is not designed to publish a child page from the draft source space to be a child of a page that only exists in the published target space. If the parent page does not exist in the published target space the page will be published to the root of the target space.
