About Static Filters
The Static Filters allow the users to further filter the issues displayed by the gadgets based on the current rich filter. Once configured, the static filters can be displayed as buttons in Rich Filter Controller gadgets. When a static filter button is selected in a Rich Filter Controller gadget, all the other gadgets in the same dashboard based on the same rich filter apply the JQL of the static filter.
The static filters can also be used in other Rich Filter gadgets to compute results.
Static Filters' Key Attributes
You can add new and see existing static filters and their configuration in the Static Filters section of your rich filter.
The key attributes of a static filter are:
Attribute | Description |
---|---|
Label | Each static filter has a label used to identify and display the filter. It is mandatory and must be unique among the other static filters within the rich filter. |
JQL | The JQL is applied when the static filter is used. |
Adding & Editing Static Filters
The Static Filters section of your rich filter allows you to do the following operations:
To do the following: | Do this: |

Add a new Static Filter | Type the label and the JQL of your static filter, then click the Add button. Your new static filter will be added at the end of the list. |
Rename a Static Filter | Click on the label of the static filter, modify the existing name, and then click on the update icon (or press Enter). |
Edit the JQL of a Static Filter | Click on the JQL of the static filter, modify the existing JQL and click on the update icon (or press Enter). |
Delete a Static Filter | Click the delete icon at the right of the static filter. |
Reorder the Static Filters | Hover over the vertical “grid” icon, then drag and drop the static filter up or down to its new position. When the static filters of this rich filter are displayed by Controller gadgets, by default they are shown in the order configured in this section. |
Using Static Filters in Rich Filter Gadgets
Once configured, static filters can be used in several rich filter gadgets:
The Rich Filter Controller gadget: You can use the static filters to apply additional filtering in the other rich filter gadgets.
