Parent Issue Status Validator

This validator confirms that the parent issue's status is in one of the specified status(es).

Steps

  1. Open the workflow where you want to add the condition and locate the transition you want.

  2. Switch to the Validators tab.

  3. Click the Add validator button.

  4. Select JEP - Parent Issue Status Validator and click the Add button.

  5. Select the status(es) that the parent issue should be within to proceed with the transition.

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Publish the workflow.

The validator will now be added to the transition.

If the status of the parent issue is not included in the list specified by this validator, the transition will not proceed. Instead, an error message will be displayed, similar to the one shown below:
